Assassin's Creed: Victory Trailer Leaked, Set In Victorian London

The Next Assassin's Creed Game Is Set In Victorian London

A trailer has leaked for Assassin's Creed: Victory, showing that the next major game in the series will be set in Victorian London.

Gaming site Kotaku was leaked the seven minute long gameplay trailer which has revealed both the name and the location of the game.

The stunning screenshots show that 'Victory' -- set during the height of the Victorian era -- will run using the same game engine that created Unity.

However, if these screens are anything to go by then it looks set to be -- at the very least -- the best-looking Assassin's Creed game so far.

It's clear that Ubisoft had been planning to keep the game under wraps until the proper time, with Kotaku reporting that the trailer looked like it was of a high-enough quality to be presented at a gaming show such as E3.

Since the leak Ubisoft released a statement confirming the validity of the trailer and the game:

"It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we're disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we're excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin's Creed Unity for players."

This is just the latest in a series of ever-increasing leaks from the game studio after both Assassin's Creed: Unity and Black Flag were leaked months before the company had planned to announce them.
