Kym Marsh has become engaged to her boyfriend Dan Hooper after seven months together, according to reports.

Dan reportedly booked a night in a swanky Manchester hotel to pop the question in style, before whisking her away for a romantic European getaway for the weekend to celebrate their engagement.
After a fairly difficult 12 months, having had her divorce from ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Jamie Lomas finalised in January, a friend of Kym’s has credited Dan with turning her life around.

This friend reportedly told The Sun: “Kym is the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever seen her and it’s purely down to Dan. She can’t wait to become his wife.”
Describing the proposal, the source added: “He knew it had to be perfect for Kym.
“He was pretty certain she’d say ‘Yes’ but he was still nervous. Dan hadn’t told Kym what was going to happen but they both dressed up for a big night out.”
The couple are yet to respond to the reports of their engagement, but have posted a string of photos on social media this weekend looking awfully cosy - including this Twitter photo, which is thought to have been taken shortly after Dan proposed to the ‘Coronation Street’ actress.
Kym and Dan have even spoken about having children together in the future, admitting they’d like to adopt or try surrogacy, because she was unable to have any more children.
They might not have been together for very long, but Kym and Dan’s relationship hasn’t been without its hardships, with Kym getting involved in a rather public Twitter war of words with one of his exes after they started going out.
‘Hollyoaks’ actress Stephanie Waring, who had once counted Kym as a friend, branded her “heartless” for getting together with Dan just months after they’d split up, claiming she’d broken an “unwritten rule”.
