Sydney has its fair share of incredible weather but this thunderstorm wins hands down as being one of the most impressive to look at.
This stunning storm pulled into Sydney on 5 December looking not unlike the scene from 'Independence Day' when the UFO breaks through the clouds.
Despite its menacing appearance the storm formation is just one of many that hit the city every year, perfectly captured by New Zealand photographer Roland Taylor who took this time lapse.
