Wintry weather will sweep across Britain this week, bringing the potential for travel disruption across the north of the UK.
The bout of icy weather will hit the country on Tuesday night, bringing a 80mph freezing blast, and up to 10 inches of snow are set to fall in some areas.
Parts of the country have already had snowfall, as The Peak District, The Lake District and northern Scotland were blanketed with white over the weekend.

Severe weather warnings are in place for the north of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for the next four days, and the entire country has been given the Met Office's yellow "be aware" warning on Thursday when the worst of the ice and snow could hit.

Forecaster Calum MacColl said this week will see the UK suffer the "first notable north-westerly blast of the year" adding that the weather would feel "pretty raw".
Tonight is expected to be the coldest of the week in Scotland, especially in central and eastern areas.

It will be a wet and windy start tomorrow in the north-west of the UK with many places frosty and a band of rainy and very windy conditions sweeping south-eastwards throughout the day.
There is a further warning in place for wind on Wednesday and overnight into Thursday.
The Met Office is telling people in North Wales, Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to expect severe gales with gusts of around 70 mph and frequent wintry showers.
