In terms of the ultimate in cringe-worthy events, there’s dad dancing – and then there’s Boris Johnson performing a rendition of Jessie J’s Bang Bang.
No doubt a dad-dancing connoisseur himself, the father-of-five gave it his all as he appeared as a guest on the Capital breakfast show on Tuesday morning to talk about London’sNew Year’s Evefireworks display.
Having heard the original singer perform the hit at the radio station’s Jingle Bell Ball over the weekend, the 50-year-old took to the microphone, is spectacles perched at the end of his nose.

He chanted:
