Is Prince George getting an iPad for Christmas?

OK, he's only 18 months old, but George loves playing with his dad Prince William's tablet so we're sure it will be high on the toddler's Christmas wish list - though perhaps not for a few years yet!

The Duke of Cambridge revealed his son's love of his iPad - during a chat with a technology executive on the young family's high-profile tour of the US.

Despite luxury gifts from all over the world being sent to the young heir, Prince William says it's his Apple tablet that the royal toddler enjoys most.

He made the revelation at a technology event at New York's Empire State Building.

Ayah Bdeir, the chief executive of a firm that builds snap-together electronics for children, told The Times: "He had so much fun. He told me that his son George has been playing iPad games and loves them and that this was a good way to teach him the inner workings of electronics."

Meanwhile, speculation is mounting about what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are going to name George's little brother or sister.

Bookies have reported a surge in the number of bets placed on Kate having a daughter in April 2015 - and on William and Kate picking the name Charlotte for the spare to the heir.

The odds that Prince George will soon have a baby sister now stand at 10/11 and according to William Hill this surge could mean that Kate dropped a hint about her baby's gender during the royal couple's recent trip to New York.

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told OK! magazine: "These two gambles have come out of the blue, and you have to wonder if a hint has been dropped on the royal visit.

"One thing is for certain, we don't think William and Kate will choose the name LeBron or Barack both of which are 100/1 outsiders."
