Cheryl worked a stand-out bright red embellished Zuhair Murad strapless gown, which gave Angelina Jolie a run for her money in the 'leg-bombing' stakes with a rather high front split. The skirt was big and boasted a waterfall style silhouette, and she finished with matching red heels.

The judge even also appeared to match her eyeshadow to the dress, and kept her hair simple and slicked back.

Mel B, meanwhile, managed to make a return to the judging panel after missing Saturday night's show due to illness.

At the beginning of the programme, Mel said: "I really missed being here but thanks to all the doctors and nurses who took care of me and got me here tonight."

When Dermot asked her if she was feeling better, she said: "Yes-ish."

She might not have felt 100 per cent, but the star looked stunning in a winter wonderland-inspired white gown by Giles, which featured a tiered, ruffled skirt and a sheer top.

Her hair was chic and sophisticated worn in a middle-parted low bun, and make up was soft and natural.
