Boxing Day Sales 2014: Retailers Taking Part And Best Deals

Which Retailers Offer The Best Bargains At Boxing Day Sales?

As people wind down for Christmas, there's one thing on the horizon that we can't help but get a tiny bit excited about. And that, fellow shopaholics, is the Boxing Day sales.

Okay, admittedly it's the time when bargain hunters leave the safety and comfort of their houses in droves, when shop workers want to bludgeon every person that drops an item of clothing on the floor and when DFS takes over your telly. (And the super-smily DFS woman becomes the focus of your nightmares).

There's also, generally, a lot of this...

While this paints a pretty grim picture of the Boxing Day sales (hey, we're just being honest) there are some fantastic deals to be had.

From Next, with their über-early opening times and jaw-dropping markdowns, to ASOS' online wallet-friendly treats - there's a hella lot to get excited about.

So, to kickstart the fun, we've compiled a list of the retailers you absolutely MUST check out this Boxing Day...

Next - well known for their incredible Boxing Day offers, Next usually open the earliest on 26 December with 6am starts being the norm. Their sales are a huge draw for crowds and some stores have even witnessed avid shoppers queuing from the night before. We predict big discounts this year.

Amazon - they never disappoint. This year, the online retailer's Boxing Day extravaganza starts on 24 December and will add more offers each day through to the New Year.

Topshop - the Arcadia retailer usually have a good selection on offer for women. Head to the bigger stores for a better selection of sale clothing (and more size options!). Make sure you get there early to snap up the best - and most stylish - buys.

Topman - well guys, if Topshop are knocking down prices then you can expect the same from Topman.

River Island - we can confirm that the retailer will be offering discounts of up to 50% across 1500 items. Party sale clothing will be available from 19 December in store and online, accessories and footwear will be on sale from 22 December in store and online, the full online sale will be available online only from 23 December and the sale will continue in store from 26 December.

Argos - Last year's sale saw discounts of up to 60% across the store. This year we can expect something that's equally excellent.

John Lewis - on Black Friday, John Lewis rose to the challenge faced by competitors. "If our competitors are having a sale, so are we," they said. With this in mind, expect a pretty awesome Boxing Day sale. Purses at the ready!

Currys PC World - fancy grabbing yourself a tech-filled bargain? Head to Currys PC World who will definitely be knocking down their prices.

Marks & Spencer - forget Boxing Day, why wait? Well, that's what M&S are saying anyway. Their sales have already begun with 50% off champagne - PARDY.

Other retailers you can expect to find reducing prices include: ZARA, Primark, Dorothy Perkins, H&M and Game.
