Being a U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador has clearly paid off as Emma has come in first position for the Ms. Foundation for Women online poll conducted in partnership with Cosmopolitan.com.

There's no denying that this 24-year old has influence - or that she can break the internet/Twitter in her own way.

However, it was her speech that launched the "HeForShe" campaign to end gender inequality that proved how passionate she was about feminism.

If you haven't watched it, you need to.

Here's a look at the top ten feminist celebrities from the survey. We're right behind Emma landing first place and seeing American comedy duo Amy Poehler and Tina Fey rank. But Cher? We definitely didn't see that one coming.

1. Emma Watson

2. Laverne Cox (Orange is the New Black star)

3. Rachel Maddow (news anchor)

5. Cher

6. Amy Poehler

7. Tina Fey

8. Meryl Streep

9. Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project star)

10. Ann Curry (journalist)

In a statement about the survey, Ms. Foundation President and CEO Teresa Younger said, "We celebrate all feminists every day, but today we're giving a hat tip to celebrities who are helping to promote women's equality.

"Every celebrity on the list has either embraced the term 'feminist,' spoken out for women's equal rights or battled against sexist oppression."

Amen to that.
