Katie Holmes is fronting Elle Canada's February 2015 issue and let's just say she's got the whole monochrome chic thing mastered.
The 36-year-old actress looks bang on trend (black and white will never go out of style) in a stripe silk shirt, matching pencil skirt and brown leather belt. The tumbling, messy updo? Super sexy.
In her interview with the magazine Katie talks everything from those Dawson's Creek days through to her directional debut.
On starring in Dawson's Creek as Joey Potter alongside the likes of James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson she says, "I don't know if I have moved past it, but I don't really care. I had a ball doing it, and it's really nice to be a part of something that did affect people.
"And it created a lot of opportunities for all of us."
On her career she's completely honest about how things go, "Sometimes offers are flying in, and sometimes they're not."
And as for acting in and producing the film based on All We Had by Annie Weatherwax, a novel which portrays the difficulties of being a single parent, Katie says "There aren't as many movies being made, period, so the challenge is to create projects for yourself."
We've got a feeling she's a natural in the director's chair.
