When Jennifer Saunders announced she had started writing a movie script for Absolutely Fabulous last year, we went into a champagne frenzy.
The latest news, according to the Mirror, is that the film (with the show's entire original cast), titled Edina and Patsy, will happen this year.
Jennifer, who plays the very fabulous Edina Monsoon, told the Sunday People: "I've finished the first draft. I'm feeling euphoric.
"My proper New Year's resolution is to do the film, otherwise it'll be a pointless year of procrastination."
Jen will star alongside Joanna Lumley, aka Patsy Stone, and Julia Sawalha, who plays Edina's daughter Saffy, on the big screen where they'll revamp their hilarious, high-powered, heavy-drinking roles following the BBC series which ended in 1995.
Yes, it's been that long, though in 2012, Jen wrote three Ab Fab episodes to mark its 20th anniversary.
The big question is, will they be as boozy as before? And will they still be working the fashion PR scene? Surely.
Jen has also said she'd like to see Lumley replaced with a Hollywood star and for an orangutan to step in for her as Edina.
"That would be funny, Angelina Jolie and an orangutan," she said.
If Ange doesn't jump at the chance (or at least agree to a cameo appearance) then she's not the woman we thought she was.
