Newsrooms Fall Silent In Poignant Solidarity With Charlie Hebdo

Thousands of people across the world observed a minute's silence on Thursday morning in honour of the 12 people shot dead during the horrific attack on the headquarters of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in central Paris.

Of all the tributes, perhaps the most poignant came from those who themselves also work in newsrooms, all no doubt painfully aware of their vulnerability laid bare by Wednesday's events.
