Crayon giants Crayola had a full-scale social media meltdown on Sunday when their Facebook Page was hacked and filled with off-colour material.

The hack resulted in a stream of low-quality clickbait ridiculousness, some of which was very NSFW.

The children's colouring brand sprung into action when they noticed the fraudulent Facebooker posting the inappropriate links.

Twitter user @PurpleMstery said: "Why would you hack Crayola and only use that opportunity to post something stupid?"

Within around 15 hours, Crayola's social media team had regained control of the Page and all was well again.

Well, except for the poor kids who were exposed to those horrendous pieces of nonsense.
