Sewer Explosion Throws Boy 10 Metres Into The Air

Shocking footage has emerged from China showing a young boy being thrown into the air by a sewer explosion.

The video comes from surveillance cameras in Inner Mongolia's capital, Hohhot.

It is believed the explosion happened when he bent over to light a firecracker, which was resting on a manhole cover.

The child's lighter ignited a build up of biogas from the sewer and threw him 10 metres into the sky.

The boy suffered a severe head injury and broken bones.
