Friends have paid tribute to a "truly wonderful" student who died after falling from a window following a house party in Edinburgh.
Ben McLean, a medic student at Edinburgh University, was found on Friday at 9am in the rear garden of a flat in West Preston Street, Newington, a district in the south of the city.
The 22-year-old had been at a party the night before, and others in the flat were asleep when the incident occurred, The Scotsman reports.
Police are currently treating his death as unexplained but it is understood he fell from a second floor window.
One of Ben's last posts on Twitter was a picture with a friend from a night out at a club.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers from Police Scotland in Edinburgh have charged a 19-year-old man with drugs supply offences following the discovery of a body on Friday morning in a rear garden at West Preston Street, Edinburgh.”
Tributes have been left on social media for the student, who came from Barrhead, East Renfrewshire.
Ben's sister, Megan posted a series of heartfelt tributes on Twitter, saying she was "devastated".
Please let me wake up with this having been a twisted nightmare, Ben was too young, too smart and too brilliant for it to end like this.— Megan McLean (@modernleper_) January 17, 2015
My best friend, I love you Ben and I refuse to accept that this is happening, you deserved so much more out of life. pic.twitter.com/CialMOykwI— Megan McLean (@modernleper_) January 17, 2015
