‘The X Files’ could be returning to TV screens, according to reports.
The series finished in 2002, however it seems TV bosses are hoping to revive the show.

TV executives Dana Walden and Gary Newman revealed that they have been in talks with the ‘X Files’ series creator Chris Carter and its stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, reports The Independent.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, Dana stated: “Gary and I both worked [at 20th Century Fox Television] through the entire run of ‘The X Files’. It was a great experience.”
However, one of the potential problems would be the actors’ schedules, as both David and Gillian have become pretty busy in recent years.
“We’ve maintained a good relationship with Chris, David and Gillian,” he continued. “We’re very hopeful, but it’s hard.
“The actors are very busy. They have a lot going on. Chris has a lot on his plate, so it’s just trying to carve out the time.”
As well as making the series, 'X Files' creators masterminded two films, and during a Reddit AMA, Gillian hinted that there could a third.
In 2014, Gillian starred in the second series of ‘The Fall’, alongside Jamie Dornan, who will appear as Christian Grey in the hotly-anticipated ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ film next month.
