Yoga To Help Cure Hangovers

Yoga To Help Cure Hangovers

You know you're hungover when bed is the only place you want to be. (Wine hangovers in particular call for a completely cleared schedule.)

But if an all-day sofa session sparks that guilty feeling, there is a form of exercise that's hangover-friendly - yoga.

Yes, it requires stretching, twisting and turning but certain postures will give your body the detox it needs after one too many the night before. Even better, you don't have to leave your house.

"Twisting makes the spine happy by boosting blood flow to the spinal discs, and stimulates digestion and elimination," Allie Hill, founder of the Yoga Haven, told us. "Not only that, these poses nourish and strengthen the stomach, intestines and kidneys, as well as being known to help with conditions such as IBS. They also stimulate the lymphatic system, supporting your immune system, and keeping your nervous system healthy."

Watch the video above for a gentle but effective yoga lesson, then grab your mat and a glass of water.
