US Navy Launches Another Military Satellite

In keeping with tradition, the US Navy has launched another mysterious satellite into space confirming only that it will boost their communications.

The United Alliance rocket launched into space on the evening of the 19 January, carrying an advanced communications satellite that the Navy says will provide a boost in communications capabilities.

Naturally that's the extent of what we know so it's anyones guess as to whether that means ship-to-ship communications or for troops on the ground.

This launch joins another that took place in December when the US military launched a top-secret communications satellite for the NSA.

Codenamed NROL-35, the rocket launch itself was witnessed by most of Los Angeles however its contents has remained a closely guarded secret.
