Spotify 'Touch Preview' Is A Faster, Better Way To Discover New Music

Spotify wants to make it even easier to consume music as fast as possible, and with the absolutely minimum engagement, humanity and soul.

To that end it has launched Touch Preview, a new way to hear what an album sounds like before you make the big commitment to listening to it for free anyway.

The new system is really a fresh UI take on music discovery. Hold your finger on a song or an album and it will play a 30 second preview. Touch it and you'll hear the whole thing. It's supposed to make it easier to browse through lots of music and reduce the clicks it takes to hear new stuff.

It looks neat and has some interesting new gesture-based techniques for arranging and queueing up music, even while listening to something else.
