Neodymium magnets are the strongest commercially available magnets in the world and are used in everything from hard drives to headphones.
They're also really really powerful. So powerful in fact that if you took some of the strongest examples and happened to get caught in between them, the magnets would almost certainly win.
To show just how powerful they are, two employees at the online magnet store first4magnets, have taken two large neodymium blocks and placed various objects in between them.
Starting with an apple it quickly becomes clear that these are not the sorts of metals you want just lying around the house. Not only do the magnets partially demolish the apple but they hit with such force that it breaks a large chunk off one of the magnets.
It'll come as no surprise then that an iPhone fares just as badly, as does a cup of sweets and a Vimto carton. Still, great to watch.Suggest a correction
