A company in Stockholm, Sweden is offering its employees a drastic new alternative to getting around the building: microchips.
The employee has a tiny microchip -- around the size of a grain of rice -- inserted into their hand, this then allows them to simply wave their hand over scanners giving them access to the building and equipment throughout.

Each tag uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), a technology that is used in everything from car toll tags to office keycards.
While the move isn't compulsory, the office-owners have said that they hope to increase the abilities of the tag, potentially allowing employees to pay for their food using just a swipe of the hand.
