'Star Wars' Actor Dies, Aged 67

Actor Richard Bonehill, who starred in two ‘Star Wars’ films, has died at the age of 67.

Richard appeared in 'The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’, playing a number of roles in each movie.

As well as appearing in a number of other films, Richard enjoyed fencing, and was the President of the Truro Fencing Club.

The club shared the sad news on their Twitter account, writing: “We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our President & former Head Coach Richard Bonehill. A great leader & an inspiration.”

Richard starred as Nien Nunb, who co-piloted the Millenium Falcon, in the two films, and he also played a stormtrooper, rebel soldier and a fighter pilot.

Richard’s other credits include ‘Frenchman’s Creek’, ‘’Allo ‘Allo’ and ‘Call Me Mister’.
