Bestival Line-Up 2015: Chemical Brothers to Headline ‘Summer Of Love' Festival, Duran Duran And The Jacksons Also Set To Play

Duran Duran Confirmed For UK Festival Performance

The first wave of acts set to play at Bestival 2015 have been revealed by the event’s organiser Rob da Bank.

This year’s September event will have a ‘Summer Of Love’ theme, and Duran Duran are among the first acts to be announced.

Duran Duran will headline the event

Simon le Bon and his bandmates will be joined on the Isle of Wight by The Jacksons, Underworld, who will headline the Thursday night, and The Chemical Brothers, who will be in charge of closing the main stage on the Saturday evening.

Radio DJ Rob, who curates the five-day extravaganza with his wife Josie, has shared his excitement ahead of this year’s festival.

"We're taking it right back to our roots for the 12th annual Bestival," he states. "It’s also the 20th birthday of the club where it all started - Sunday Best, and that club and our beloved Bestival were founded on some pretty simple aims - listen to amazing music, make new friends, have fun, and maybe stay up all night.

"Two decades later we're rigidly sticking to those principles, and this edition of Bestival, with its Summer of Love theme, is all about one huge musical, well, orgy... So, returning friends the Chemical Brothers rave alongside iconic popstars Duran Duran and The Jacksons, and some of my favourite modern musical mavericks - Tame Impala, Flying Lotus and Jungle - jump in bed together… and this is just the start of the party… Watch this space and feel the love!”

Other acts on the bill include Kate Tempest, Mercury prize winners Young Fathers, Slaves and Gorgon City.

Meanwhile the dance stages will be manned by a whole host of big names, including Annie Mac, Four Tet and Andrew Weatherall.

Further acts are set to be announced in the coming months, including the Friday and Sunday night headliners.
