North Korea Issues Camel Stamps To Mark Kim Jong Il's Birthday

These Are Kim Jong Il's Birthday Stamps

If you had to associate an animal with North Korea, it would probably be...

Actually, we have absolutely no idea. But we can say with some confidence, it probably wouldn't be a camel.

Yet it is the humped desert-dweller that Kim Jong un has chosen for commemorative stamps, according to the country's state-run news agency.

The DPRK issued four kinds of stamps to mark the Day of the Shining Star, the birthday of dead leader Kim Jong Un which is on Monday, with others featuring a horse, a baboon and a lynx.

They are apparently animals found at the Central Zoo in Pyongyang, North Korea's capital, which have alleged been "gifted" to the country by other nations and "overseas compatriots".
