Tony Blair is now advising a prime minister whose country he once bombed, and who also once contributed to a book entitled "English Gay Fart Tony Blair".
The 61-year-old is set to be a paid adviser to Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, despite the bombing of the country's capital Belgrade in 1999.
When Vucic was information minister during the war, he was less than cordial towards Blair, but time (and money) appears to have healed all wounds.

Blair is set to act as an adviser to Vucic through his private consultancy, with funding from the United Arab Emirates, according to Serbian officials who spoke to the Guardian. Vucic is said to be keen to use the prime minister's expertise as Serbia bids for EU membership.
Opposition leader Borko Stefanovic has not been backward in his condemnation. “How can you say such things about someone and now present him as a key factor in making our government more efficient?” he asked in parliament.

A senior Serbian minister confirmed to the paper that Tony Blair Associates, the consultancy, was working with the government, including organising a lecture by former spin doctor Alastair Campbell, all funded by the Abu Dhabi government. The alleged fundings has raised questions about the former prime minister's ability to remain neutral in his role as Middle East envoy, with such apparent close associations with the UAE.
A spokeswoman for Tony Blair Associates would not comment on the funding arrangements. “This project was directly negotiated and agreed between Serbia and TBA (Tony Blair Associates) following meetings between Tony Blair and the Serbia prime minister and was not part of any wider agreement,” his office said in a statement. “The work of the delivery unit has no bearing on Tony Blair’s role in the Middle East for the Palestinian economy.”
