Keira Knightley and her baby bump rocked the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday night.

The 29-year-old – nominated for Best Actress for her role in The Imitation Game - proudly paraded her pregnant belly as she joined other stars at the Hollywood awards.

With just three months to go until her child with James Righton is due, Keira looked stunning in a floor-length nude Valentino gown decorated with embroidered flowers.

She was joined on the red carpet by co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, nominated for Best Actor, as he cuddled and kissed his new wife – and six months pregnant – Sophie Hunter.

Last week, Keira poked fun at the 'whole birthing plan concept'.

She told Ellen DeGeneres: "Sorry, but what is the plan apart from to get it out? There isn't an option to sort of keep it in, is there?"

She added: "So, I'm assuming my plan is to get it out. But apparently there's more to the plan than that. I don't know what that is. Still, my plan is to get it out. It will come out."

Keira also joked that she was concerned about the perils of having a baby boy.

"Somebody said to me the other day the problem with boys is - sorry this is horrible - but when you're changing their nappies you can get the wee in your face!"
