Watching the sun set on Mars in person might actually be an achievable goal - as long as you're currently very young, and don't put all your eggs in one reality TV basket.

But until you make it to the Red Planet yourself, NASA has the next best thing.

This Vine -- yes, Vine, via 2010 photos taken by the Opportunity rover -- shows what sunset on Mars looks like.

For one thing, it's blue. That's down to the red dust-filled Martian atmosphere scattering away red light from the relatively distant sun. On Earth, the reverse is true.
