In Apple Maps, Big Ben Now Shows The Real Time

Apple Maps 3D View Is Now 'Real Time'

Apple Maps just upped its game in the battle to win people back from Google Maps. The company has released an update which means that Big Ben will now show the accurate time because, well why not.

The purely cosmetic update also means that the London Eye will now rotate. Again we're not entirely sure why this is a relevant feature for mapping unless of course your decision to visit London was based solely on the knowledge that a giant clock works and an even bigger wheel turns.

Although non-essential to actually finding your way around the fact remains that it's a quaint easter egg that'll put a smile on your face.

Apple has been regularly updating Apple Maps with better navigation, higher-resolution 3D buildings and more. The biggest feature is 'Flyover' which allows you to skim over the a 3D model of a number of key cities around the world.
