When Edinburgh Heriot-Watt student Andrew Paterson renewed his part-time contract with Asda, he probably didn't expect this kind of fanfare.
Tweeting a joke for his friends, the post went viral and has since had over 18,000 retweets.
Parodying the announcements made by footballers when they join a new club, Andrew shared a picture of him holding his green and black Asda uniform saying he had "renewed [his] contract with asda".

After creating all this social media noise, we think he might have drawn the attention of the big spenders at Waitrose and M&S, who could be looking to make a move in the next transfer window.
No word yet as to whether he'll be round the back or playing up front at the tills.
