Comic Relief: Professor Stephen Hawking Teams Up With David Walliams For Red Nose Day 2015 Sketch (PICS)

Stephen Hawking? Yeah, I Know

Professor Stephen Hawking is to appear with David Walliams in a special sketch for Red Nose Day.

During this year’s ‘Comic Relief - Face The Funny’, David will don his mullet wig and dodgy glasses once again to reprise his ‘Little Britain’ character of Lou, except this time he’s found a new friend in Professor Hawking instead of his usual sidekick, Andy.

The theoretical physicist has a surprisingly impressive comedy CV, having previously appeared in 'The Simpsons', 'Futurama, 'The Big Bang Theory'... and a GoCompare advert.

This year’s Comic Relief telethon will also feature the previously-reported sketches from Dawn French as ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ and Rowan Atkinson as ‘Mr. Bean’, as well as performances from Sam Smith and Ella Henderson.

Daniel Craig will be appearing as James Bond in a special sketch, while the night will also feature Dermot O’Leary, fresh from (hopefully!) completing his 24-hour dance-a-thon.

Favourites from the world of entertainment, such as Olivia Colman, Idris Elba and ‘Doctor Who’ actor Peter Capaldi, will be appearing in segments to remind viewers of the work Comic Relief does both in Africa and here in the UK, while presenting duties this year will be taken on by Davina McCall, Claudia Winkleman and John Bishop, among others.

See all the sketches on ‘Comic Relief - Face The Funny’, on Friday, 13 March at 7pm, BBC One.
