‘EastEnders' Star Sam Strike ‘Offered Lead Role In A Big US Film' Following Ben Hardy's Hollywood Success

A Second 'EastEnders' Star Lands A Huge Hollywood Role

Just weeks after it was revealed that former ‘EastEnders’ star Ben Hardy has scored a role in a Hollywood blockbuster, it appears Sam Strike has succeeded in following in his footsteps.

Actor Sam, who played Johnny Carter, announced his plans to quit in November 2014, revealing that he wanted to try something new.

Now, it seems Sam has landed a huge role, though his management is keeping schtum on Twitter and refusing to reveal which film Sam’s been cast in.

“Many questions sent on my last tweet @SamStrike - he has been offered the lead role in a very big US film, Info soon,” he writes.

Sam previously took to Twitter, hinting that he’d secured a new job by writing: “Started at the gym yesterday in prep for a cheeky new roll id love to tell you about. But can't.I'm ACHING.Forgot what its like to exercise.” [sic]

The news comes weeks after Ben Hardy, who played Walford’s Peter Beale, was cast in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’.

Since the actors left, there’s been plenty of drama in ‘EastEnders’ and the Beale family are still attempting to come to terms with the news that Bobby was responsible for Lucy’s death.
