Daniel Craig And Roger Moore Star In James Bond-Themed Sketch For Comic Relief (PICS)

Which Former Bond Has Daniel Craig Teamed Up With For Comic Relief?

Two Bonds are set to meet when Daniel Craig and Roger Moore star in a special one-off 007-themed sketch for this year’s Comic Relief Red Nose Day.

As well as Sir Roger, who starred as the secret agent between 1973 and 1985, Daniel will also be joined by his ‘Skyfall’ co-stars Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear and Naomie Harris in the mockumentary-style skit.

The exclusive sketch, which will air on BBC One tonight (Friday 13 March), was written by comedy legends David Walliams and the Dawson Brothers and will see Daniel and his fellow cast members reveal the biggest Bond secret yet – ‘a bombshell which is set to shock the world’.

Also taking part is Bond director Sam Mendes, who said it was a ‘privilege’ to take part.

“I decided to take part in this sketch because the work Comic Relief undertakes, especially in West Africa, for people whose suffering is beyond our comprehension is truly exceptional,” he said.

“Any help I can offer, even in the smallest of ways, is a privilege."

Actor Ben Whishaw added: “When I first saw the script, I was returning home from the set, and it really made me laugh out loud. I was thrilled to be asked to be involved.”

And Sir Roger Moore, who last appeared as Bond in ‘A View To A Kill’ in 1985, said: “I think viewers will most enjoy seeing that old Bonds never die.”

The sketch is set to be an unmissable part of this year’s Red Nose Day evening of entertainment, which will be broadcast live from the London Palladium from 7pm on BBC One.

The star-studded evening, which will feature stand-up comedy, sketches and musical performances, will be presented by TV favourites including John Bishop, Russell Brand, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall, David Walliams and Claudia Winkleman.
