This Is Apple's Website From 1998

Apple's Old Website Is A Retro Treasure Trove

Apple may be one of the world's most advanced technology companies, but even a company like that had to start somewhere.

The Open University has created a series of GIFs that show what company websites looked like in the 1990s, revealing the huge chasm that has now formed between what the internet was capable then and now.

You can clearly see Apple's first major computing launch, the iMac, taking pride of place on the site, while the pages flick through showing that while the looks have changed, the tone hasn't.

Check out some of these other sites from the 90s including Boeing and Hewlett Packard's homepages.
