Hubble Captures An Entire Galaxy With Stunning New Picture

Hubble Does It Again...

This is NGC 5023. It's over 30 million light years away, which should give you just some idea of how powerful Hubble truly is.

Viewed from the side it appears as nothing more than a swirling disc of stars and gas, however there's more than meets the eye. It's actually an enormous spiral galaxy and thanks to the incredibly sharp images capture by Hubble astronomers have been able to count over 30,000 stars.
