Another Soap Star Is Heading For Hollywood!

Zaraah Abrahams, who previously starred in ‘Coronation Street’, has landed a huge role Stateside, nabbing a part in drama ‘The Knick’.

The actress appeared as Joanne Jackson until 2007, and she’ll now appear in the hospital drama, which will also be broadcast by Sky in the UK.

Zaraah, who you may also recognise from ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ‘Waterloo Road’ is taking on the role of Opal in season two of the show, reports The Sun and she's already begun rehearsals.

Of course, Zaraah isn’t the first star to swap the world of soap for Hollywood and it was recently reported that another former ‘Corrie’ star, Georgia May Foote, could also be starring in a new drama Stateside.

Two former ‘EastEnders’ stars, Ben Hardy and Sam Strike, are also heading to LA, after nabbing huge movie roles.

Ben, who played Peter Beale, is believed to have scored a role in an upcoming ‘X-Men’ film, while Sam, who starred as Danny Dyer’s on-screen son Johnny Carter, has taken on a mystery project.
