Joni Mitchell Rushed To Hospital

Joni Mitchell is currently in intensive care, after being rushed to an LA hospital, when she found unconscious in her home.

A statement posted on the singer’s website explains that the hospital dash was made on Tuesday evening.

Joni attended a pre-Grammys party back in February

The 71-year-old regained consciousness while en route to the hospital, and doctors are currently trying to determine the cause of her ill-health.

The notice on Joni's website reads: “Joni was found unconscious in her home this afternoon. She regained consciousness on the ambulance ride to an L.A. area hospital.

She is currently in intensive care undergoing tests and is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them. Light a candle and sing a song, let's all send good wishes her way.”

Joni suffers from a rare skin condition, Morgellons Disease, which prevents her from performing.

During her five-decade-spanning career, the Canadian singer has scooped a number of Grammys and is best-known for her hits such as ‘Both Sides Now’ and ‘Big Yellow Taxi’.

In 1997, she was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame.
