Denise Reveals Which 'EastEnders' Veteran Her Character Has History With

Denise Van Outen has opened up about her latest TV role, revealing what fans can expect from her ‘EastEnders’ character Karin Smart, when she arrives next week.

Fans have already been given their first glimpse at Denise in ‘EastEnders’ and now, during a chat with Alan Carr on his show, Denise has revealed details about her characters upcoming arrival in Walford.

In an interview that will be screened this weekend, Denise explains: “The character is really fun and she is a bit naughty - surprise surprise. I thought she is going to go into The Square and stir things up a little bit.

“So I just grabbed the chance to play her."

Denise also reveals that Karin will have history with with a Walford resident.

“She's a businesswoman and she really does shake things up in the Square, Denise continues. “And there's a bit of history there with Phil Mitchell… I can't reveal too much but there's definitely going to be fireworks."

Karin is set to cause trouble

The first snaps of Denise in the soap show Karin chatting with Phil’s current enemy du jour, Max Branning.

Sadly, Denise won’t be sticking around for long, and she’s expected to be guest-starring in just a handful episodes.
