‘EastEnders’ fans have been given their first look at June Whitfield’s upcoming guest appearance in the soap.
The veteran actress is set to star as a nun, who offers Kat Slater a few words of advice - and something a little stronger - to combat her recent troubles.
Sister Ruth offers Kat and a helping hand (and a hipflask...)
June’s character, a nun named Sister Ruth will appear in just one episode, when she offers counsel to Kat.
In recent months, viewer have seen Kat struggle to cope being forced to confront ghosts from her past.
The mother-of-three also attempted suicide, and her family have struggled to provide the support she needs - which is where June comes in.
What's next for Kat?
June isn’t the only high profile star to take a wander through Albert Square in recent weeks, and Denise van Outen is currently enjoying a few weeks in Walford.
E20 will also be welcoming a permanent new arrival when Pam and Les’s grandson Paul Coker arrives later this year.
