Commuters are facing enormous delays at London Waterloo tonight, after a person was hit by a train.
The incident was at Surbiton and delays are expected to last until 11pm. A broken down train at Clapham Junction worsened the delays.
People can expect delays of up to 90 minutes.P eople have begun tweeting chaos at Waterloo Station, with one tweeter calling it the busiest she had ever seen.
Network Rail told The Evening Standard: "While lines are now open this has resulted in a huge number of trains and staff being out of place with a number of services cancelled or changed.
"Our teams are working flat out to recover the service and run as many trains as possible, but there will still be residual delays tonight for anyone travelling from Waterloo for which we apologise.
"Passengers should check before they travel and consider any alternative routes."

South West Trains issued a statement that said:
Earlier today, a person was hit by a train at Surbiton. All lines have now reopened, but journeys to and from London Waterloo may be delayed by up to 90 minutes as services return to normal.
In addition, a broken down train at Clapham Junction means trains are currently are unable to run to and from London Waterloo via Barnes.
The following changes will apply:
- Trains between London Waterloo and Hampton Court will not run. Thames Ditton and Hampton Court will not be served
- Trains between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids / Salisbury will not run between London Waterloo and Basingstoke. Passengers should use other services between London Waterloo and Basingstoke
- Local stopping services between London Waterloo and Woking via Surbiton may be cancelled.
