Bianca Nicholas, set to fly the flag with bandmate Alex Larke for the UK at the 60th contest in Vienna in front of an estimated 180 million viewers worldwide with their song 'Still In Love With You', tell HuffPostUK:

"I'm not worried about getting no points. The only thing I'm scared about right now is not being able to perform on the night, for whatever reason, to the best of our abilities. After all this hard work, that would be really disappointing."

The UK entry this year, Electro Velvet, are offering an up-tempo electro-swing track that definitely stands out from the pack

As for the dreaded fate of 'nul points' as previously suffered by the UK's 2003 entry Jemini for their song 'Cry Baby', Alex raises his palms skywards and says, "That's in the hands of the Eurovision gods. All we can do is our best."

Take heart, Velvet people, you can never fare worse than this...

The pair have been having a great time of it so far, meeting some of their Eurovision idols at conferences and gatherings, playing to packed houses and receiving advice from previous winners, including the unmistakable Conchita Wurst, last year's winner.

"Every single one of them, including Conchita, has told us just to have fun," says Bianca, "and to make sure we do it for ourselves as well as for our country.

"And Conchita said my hair was very on point," adds Bianca, "so that's something. Who needs anything else when you've got Conchita praising your hair?"

This year's Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place in Vienna on Saturday 23 May. The favourites to win the trophy are currently Sweden, with their chosen entry Mans Zelmerlow singing 'Heroes', with Australia's Guy Sebastian in second place with the bookies.

Graham Norton will be commentating for the BBC on the night, with Scott Mills and Mel Giedroyc on duty for the semi-finals in the days before.

Here's an abridged run-down of all the songs in the competition. We'll be assessing all of these in the week before the Contest, but feel free to share your tuppence now in the comments below... Do we have a hope this year?

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place from 8pm on Saturday 23 May.
