Singapore Teenager Convicted Over Image Of Margaret Thatcher In Compromising Position

A teenager has been convicted of distributing an image showing Singapore's former prime minister in a compromising position with Margaret Thatcher.

Amos Yee was arrested and charged after 30 people lodged complaints with the police about the video. The footage criticised Christians - a serious crime in the country - and was titled Lee Kuan Yew is Finally Dead!, following the PM's death earlier this year.

The 16-year-old then posted a cartoon depicting Lee, seen as Singapore's founding father, having sex with Thatcher.

Yee, who is seen by some as a free speech advocate, faced three years in jail but was instead given probation, the i100 reports.
