Kris Admits Fears Over Bruce Jenner's Decision To Come Out As Transgender

The second part of the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Bruce Jenner special aired on Monday night in the US, and the episode saw the former olympian discuss his transition with his former wife Kris Jenner.

During the emotional chat, Bruce read from a pre-written note, telling Kris: “First of all, you're amazing woman.

“We've had so many great moments together. They're still inside me. They're still part of me and I don't want to let that go.

“I would hope that you would kind of be on board.”

Kris, who was married to Jenner for 23 years, sobbed, stating that she never realised that he would one day decide to live as a woman.

The Kardashian matriarch also admitted that Jenner’s decision to live as “her” made her feel the need to “mourn Bruce Jenner”.

“I miss Bruce and that’s going to take me a minute to mourn that relationship,” she told him. “You think you’re going to grow old with someone.

“I have to mourn Bruce Jenner because I miss Bruce, I’ll never be able to have Bruce and all I’ll have are my memories. I feel like Bruce died and it’s really hard for me to wrap my head around that.”

Jenner listened to his former wife's worries

Kris went on to claim that Jenner had never tried to fully explain his feelings, to which he replied: “I just want to get through this and do the best damn job of not hurting anybody and that includes you.”

"I tried to relay this to the kids and it wasn't easy, but hopefully I'll be a better person.

"Happier. I want to be happy in life. I want to have a smile on my face. I want you to be happy."

Kris replied: “I just want you to know that you were a great dad, you were a great friend, and you were a great partner. At the end of the day it's not about my feelings, it's about you, and I just want you to be happy.”

The two-part special saw Jenner in conversation with the Kardashians, as they did their best to understand and support him through his transition.

E! will air a new series showing Bruce as he begins to live life as a woman this July, and during the ‘KUWTK’ special, he told his daughters that he plans to transition this Spring.

Jenner's interview aired last month

Jenner first publicly came out as transgender in April, during a two-hour Diane Sawyer special.

“For all intents and purposes, I am a woman,” Jenner told Diane. “My heart and my soul and all I do in life, that is part of me.

"I'm me. I'm a person. This is who I am. I'm not stuck in anybody's body. My brain is much more female than male.”

Plenty of fans and celebrities shared kind words for the star following the emotional interview, including James Corden, who dedicated a section of his ‘Late, Late, Show’ to the star.
