‘Britain's Got Talent': Jules O'Dwyer And Matisse And Old Men Grooving Win Second Semi-Final

Two More Acts Make 'Britain's Got Talent' Final

Britain once again proved itself to be a nation of dog lovers as dancing pooch Matisse and his owner Jules O’Dwyer won a place in the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final tonight (26 May).

The dog act - who performed an enchanting routine, which also featured a second talented mutt - scored the highest number of public votes on the second semi-final and were put straight through to Sunday’s grand finale.

Dancing dads Old Men Grooving also made it through, after judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams failed to between them and choir Revelation Avenue.

The gospel group - who were Amanda’s Golden Buzzer act - lost out when the vote was reverted back to the earlier public poll, despite being hailed as "stunning" by Simon with their rousing rendition of Beyonce’s hit ‘Halo’.

Jules and Matisse and Old Men Grooving now join Welsh choir Cor Glanaethwy and dance troupe Entity Allstars in the finale line-up, after they won Monday night’s semi-final.

Tonight’s live show also featured singers Alison Jiear and The HoneyBuns, dance group Groove Thing, solo dancers Bonetics and Luca Calò and magician Michael Late, who all tried, but ultimately failed, to win a place in the final.

There was also a live performance from former finalists Jack Pack who showcased a cover of the classic ‘Light My Fire’ from their forthcoming album, having been signed after appearing on the show in 2014.

The semi-finals continue tomorrow night when singers Ella Shaw, Gracie Wickens-Sweet, The Kingdom Tenors and The Sakyi Five, musician Narinder Dhani, dancers Dylan Bird and IMD Legion and light dance group UDI all take to the stage.

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ airs every weeknight at 7.30pm on ITV.
