Woman Accidentally Recycles $200,000 Apple I Computer

Unaware Of Its Value Someone Binned A PRICELESS Piece Of Technology History

We all have antiques lying around in our lofts, from old pictures to sewing machines. Most have only sentimental value but every now and then you might stumble across a gem, or in this case a priceless piece of technology history.

A mystery woman is being looked for after an ultra-rare Apple I computer was found at a South Bay, California recycling station.

It would appear as though they simply took one look at the machine and decided it was time it went to the trash. If she isn't found that decision will have proven pretty costly as an original Apple I computer is worth around $200,000.

Just 200 of these machines were put together by Steve Jobs, Ron Wayne Steve Wozniak back in 1976.

These machines are quite literally the first Apple products ever made and with a company that's now worth more than any other in the world, their value as collector's items has increased exponentially.

Rare and extremely valuable an original Apple 1 was sold at auction in 2012 for a massive £240,929.

So will she just get her computer back? Sadly not, because she willingly gave it to the recycling firm she has to follow their policy however the company is looking to split the proceeds with her 50/50 which means she could still be in with a chance of getting $100,000. Not bad for rooting around in the trash.
