Caitlyn Jenner Breaks The Internet With New Twitter World Record

Caitlyn Jenner has broken a world record after gaining more than a million Twitter followers in just four hours.

The achievement comes after she revealed her new name and Twitter account @Caitlyn_Jenner, at the same as her Vanity Fair cover photo.

The record was previously held by Barack Obama who hit the one million mark after five hours on his @POTUS account.

Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, announced she was transgender during an interview with Diane Sawyer in April.

British journalist and transgender rights activist Paris Lees wrote for the Guardian: "It is the most ridiculous, bold, life-affirming and gloriously overblown celebrity transition ever. Until now, no one had ever come out in such style."
