British Cheese Week: Survey Reveals The Nation's Favourite Cheese

This Is The Nation's Favourite Cheese

When a cheese board arrives, do you pounce on the parmesan or fight your friends for some feta?

To mark British Cheese Week, the nation’s favourite cheese has been revealed in a survey of 2,000 people.

And it turns out, the cheese we just can't get enough of is (drumroll please).....

Cheddar.

That's right, us Brits absolutely love of the versatile cheese, with 80% of people surveyed naming it as their favourite.

The survey, conducted by Branston, also revealed that the average Brit chomps on four servings of cheese per week.

What's even more surprising, is that almost one in ten (8%) confess to eating a whole block of cheese in one sitting.

Cheddar may have stolen the show in the survey, but mozzarella came in second, with almost two in five (38%) of people saying they enjoy the soft, Italian cheese.

Red Leister came in third, with 32% of people saying they'd happily include it on their cheese board.
