Labour Leadership Contest Gets Surprise Nomination Of Unknown Candidate

A never-before-seen politician has announced his candidacy for the Labour Party leadership and already holds 100% of the party support, according to a poll.

Bepp Slatter, who has been totally unknown to the public until his announcement on Tuesday night, has somehow managed to join the race with an instant 100% approval rating from the party faithful, leaving pollsters and commentators baffled.

In other party news, Royal Mail postal workers were seen delivering several thousand large, heavily stuffed brown envelopes to the Labour HQ this morning.
