The minute-long teaser clip doesn’t give much away about the film’s plot, other than that it’s set in a world where dinosaurs never became extinct.
‘The Good Dinosaur’ tells the story of Arlo, a young dinosaur who strikes up an unlikely friendship with a cave-boy, after finding himself lost, a long way from home.
The film includes the voice talents of Lucas Neff, who has the lead role, while Neil Patrick Harris, Judy Greer and John Lithgow are also among the cast.
Here in the UK, cinema-goers can look forward to seeing ‘The Good Dinosaur’ on 27 November.
It will act as Pixar’s second release this year, following on from ‘Inside Out’, which is released later this month.
The year will no doubt end on a high for Disney, when the much-awaited seventh instalment in the ‘Star Wars’ series, ‘The Force Awakens’, is released this Christmas.
The company has also enjoyed success in 2015, thanks to ‘Tomorrowland’ and the live-action remake of ‘Cinderella’.
The release of ‘The Good Dinosaur’ is perfectly timed, given that another modern-day dinosaur tale, ‘Jurassic World’, is about to hit cinemas, though we’re guessing the former is going to be decidedly more family-friendly than the latter.
