After making his name as the best character actor ever, Stephen Colbert is finally set to take the seat on one of America's most beloved late-night talk shows.

Inheriting the reins from David Letterman, Colbert will be hosting The Late Show from 8 September. But not before he gets rid of that grizzly beard he grew during his time offscreen...

He takes us through several phases of his shaving process, firstly giving himself a "reverse hitler", then goes Amish and finally gives himself a "half Wolverine". But eventually Colbert goes for the classic clean-shaven look he's always been famous for.
