A copy of E.L James’s latest ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ book has gone missing, just days before its release date.
The new novel will tell the ‘Fifty Shades’ story from Christian Grey’s point of view, however new reports state that the book’s publisher Penguin Random House have discovered that a copy of the manuscript has gone missing, sparking black market fears.
It’s believed that the possible theft is being investigated by the police, amid fears that extracts from the text could be sold, and subsequently released early.
Printers CPI UK have confirmed to the Mirror that they’re currently printing copies of the book, but a spokeswoman has denied that the missing text disappeared from their offices.
“I doubt it’s gone missing from one of our printworks seeing as I haven’t heard about it,” she stated.

The book was top secret until last week, when E.L James, real name Erika James, revealed the planned publication on her Instagram account.
There’s no word yet on whether Christian’s side of the story will also be made into a film, but the ‘Fifty Shades’ cast will definitely be regrouping in the future, to film adaptations of the second and third books from the original trilogy.
Two people who won’t be returning to the project are director Sam Taylor-Johnson and screenwriter Kelly Marcel.
Sam announced her plans to part ways from the franchise shortly after the first movie’s release, while Kelly was later dropped and replaced by E.L’s screenwriter husband.
